Frederick Douglass

Frederick Douglass was born into thralldom in the 1800s and was determined to escape it so he could express his voice and beliefs freely. Douglass was born into slavery. He had a rough barbarian hood with his mothers death and constant relocating. He was hard worker and was determined to be free. When he was 12-years-old he was relocated to Maryland where he met Sophia, an intelligent white wo humanitypower. Sophia taught Douglass the firstborn principle and practiced recitation and writing with him, even up though it was against the law. afterwards he was confident in his edition and writing skills he planned to escape towards freedom. When Douglass finall(a)y learned to carry and save up he was determined to do something with this knowledge. He practiced reading and writing and also spread the schooling to other African Americans as he traveled finished his journey to freedom. As time went on and slavery was not ending, Douglass got sick of the conduct he had. In 1845 he make his first autobiography, history of the Life of Frederick Douglass, an American Slave. The white men and women during that time could not believe that a black man could frame such an intellectual piece of literature. In his autobiographies he spoke of his childhood, his adulthood through slavery and what he did to become to freedom. nearly of his autobiographies cogitate on the abolitionist movement. Douglass strongly felt that every man, women and child should be completely equal. He despise slavery and all of the rules that came with it. Phillis Wheatley, an African-American woman who was sold into slavery at mount up 7, also wanted everyone to deal their rights to a free life. Most of her child hood as a slave was fagged on a station as a servant. As Phillis Wheatley grew older and wanted to fall apart free from slavery she began to write closely her life, which turned into poems.
